Three week drought

I hadn't realized how long I'd gone without posting anything on Facebook or here on my art blog. I'd done a lot of playing in the studio but hadn't really come up with anything worth showing. Then within the last week I ended up with 4 paintings in progress. Here is what I finished today:

Obviously, I needed to get some color out of my system. I am finally working on a winter scene but find the colors a bit boring to paint.

Now, this one - I've been experimenting with color shimmers. I have them in orange, green, red and purple. It gives a spray of color but dries with this soft sheen - not glitter, just barely glimmering. I love it, although the spray often comes out in bursts instead of full-on. Luckily, I can use a damp paper towel and soak up the extra. Maybe it's getting clogged? Not quite sure.

Anyway, I think I'm finally back on track.
